It was a pleasant morning. A quaint, first floor room in Koramangala (Bengaluru) was set-up for a ReSkills session, which was about making a knotted Zen bag and a folder out of leftover sari fabric or an old stole. It was for women over 55 with tingling fingers, happy feet and throbbing hearts. Reason: They inspire us. And have been living the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) #rephilosophy for generations. Over 9 turned up. We were thrilled. And out came little bags and folders even more beautiful and creative than planned! Here is a quick-view.
The module, which was covered by The Little Black Book, Bengaluru, was planned and organised by Revastra in association with Silvertalkies, an online magazine and social engagement platform for the 55+. And was held at Bloom & Grow that is a curated space for learners to hone their skills through workshops by talented artists.
